IT'S AWARD SEASON, BABY! - THE GRAMMYS

by Ula Kokalj | January 27, 2014

I admit, I'm obsessed with fashion and Fashion Police. Joan Rivers is one of the funniest people on TV and I love watching her every Saturday night when she tearing apart the worst dressed celebrities for the week.

Grammys were held last night in L.A.. Celebrities from music industry were gathering around to show off their baby bump, new boo, perfect outfit or just their soon to be rewarded talent for the "best music product" from last year.

I really don't know who won, ok Daft Punk did get lucky :D, but dresses, dresses were sick. Ok, some of them.

THE BLUES

Anna Faris In Fitriani

  • Anna Faris In Fitriani, Bonnie McKee In Gustavo Cadile, Martina McBride In David Meister and Alicia Keys In Armani Privé

THE REDS

  • Tamar Braxton In Michael Costello, Pink In Johanna Johnson, Giuliana Rancic In Alex Perry and Colbie Caillat In Ezra Santos

THE BLACKS

  • Kelly Osbourne In Badgley Mischka and Madonna In Ralph Lauren Collection

THE WHITES

  • Anna Kendrick In Azzaro and Steven Tyler

SHEER DRESSES

  • Brooklyn Haley, Kacey Musgraves In Armani Privé, Katy Perry In Valentino and Paris Hilton In Haus of Milani

SPARKLE (one of my favourites)

  • Chrissy Teigen In Johanna Johnson and Ciara In Emilio Pucci

THE COUPLES

  • Amber Rose (Naeem Khan) & Wiz Khalifa, Miranda Lambert (Pamella Roland) & Blake Shelton. Rita Ora (Lanvin) & Calvin Harris (Giorgio Armani), Robin Thicke (Giorgio Armani) & Paula Patton, David Burtka & Neil Patrick Harris and Daft Punk

THE BOYS

  • Ryan Lewis & Macklemore, Pharell Williams (hat by Vivienne Westwood), John Legend In Gucci and Austin Mahone In Sanctuary78

THE BEND

  • Imagine Dragons and 30 Seconds to Mars (Jared Leto, one of the fans of Creative Recreation shoes)

THE BEST AND THE WORST

  • THE BEST: Taylor Swift In Gucci Premiere
  • THE WORST: Skylar Grey In Michael Costello

So, this is some of the dresses and the looks I like. Taylor is definitely Crème de la crème.

I can't wait for the Oscars where everyone select their best designers and try to show us their best looks. Some of them pull it of and others just don't :)

Fashion week Ljubljana

by Ula Kokalj | November 12, 2013

Fashion week ended about a month ago and we are still collecting memories from it.

Our team really had fun and met some interesting people. And didn't forget about the most important thing: to pose. In front of the camera.

Here are some articles, where our brand(s) and team were presented.

Story Magazine:

Elle Special FWLj Edition

We are so proud for working with one of the best young designer in Slovenia, Matevž Faganel (m*faganel). His models wore our Creative Recreation sneakers.

Creative Recreation shoes seen on models (for more info click on the pic):

CR caps were special present for visitors on the first day of Fashion week. Fashion blogger, "Modna mrha" and journalist Manja Plešnar loved her hat so much so she wore it on one of her photoshooting for her blog.

Accessories for boys and men with a vintage timeless feeling – NIC & MEL

by Ula Kokalj | November 05, 2013

There was a time when design and function worked as one. A time when you didn’t destroy a beautiful watch, or wallet, or whatever, with loads of unnecessary details. Details that added a zero to the price, but nothing to what you actually got.

Nic & Mel was founded 2010 by the owners of the Swedish woman brand, Vintage by Fé.

The idea was born when the founders discovered that there was a high demand for accessories for men on the Swedish market. Since no companies focused on this segment, they identified an available market share. The products are timeless accessories with a feeling of retro. Itʼs a unique collection and Nic & Mel will only be sold by selected retailers to ensure that the products are presented in the right environments.

We believe in keeping it pure. We’re not following the latest trends, not inventing the wheel. We’re simply bringing back the best from history. Bringing back what once was lost. The ability to stay timeless.“

Inspiration comes from a time when focus was on function rather than unnecessary details. Nic & Melhas combined a design from past times with todayʼs existing demands and created products that are unique. The keyword has always been timeless; Nic & Melʼs accessories will last over seasons andtrends.

Nic & Mel has a collection of wallets, scarves, wristwatches, pocketwatches, iphone cases, keyholders and bracelets.
